Our History
Executive Chef Gary Rulli opened Award Winning Risto Bar restaurant as a place to express his deep rooted appreciation for natural, genuine, pure traditional Italian ingredients.
As a fourth generation Italian San Francisco native, my passions developed from hand-making pastas, desserts and dishes alongside my parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Food and wine are among the greatest pleasures in life, breaking bread and raising a glass create a sense of togetherness.
This early experience, numerous travels across Italy’s diverse regions and wine countries shaped the appreciation of authentic regional flavors.
Extensive culinary training in Italy coupled with collaborating over the years with Award Winning Chefs Angelo Auriana "The Factory L.A." and Michele Belotti "Botegga" contributes to the "RISTO STYLE".
